East Hampton Spring

This home is owned by an artist who also had ideas about naturalism. The property itself flows on and into a natural Preserve. He did not want fences, nor any barriers between his property and the preserve, only natural plantings as the “bridge”. All animals were welcome to walk through; turtles, snakes, rabbit, deer, wild turkeys.

My plan revolved around indigenous plants and trees, like cedars, white pines, and a wide variety of ornamental grasses, to give the home a very peaceful and natural minimalism.
